If you don't have a weekly commitment, prayerfully consider signing up for a weekly commitment. If you are able to, select an hour with the most need.

If you currently have a commitment this is well attended, you might consider changing your time to an hour with a higher number of needed adorers.

The word “monstrance” comes from the Latin word “monstrare”, which means “to show.” In Catholic practice, the purpose of the monstrance is to show the presence of Christ.

The origins of the monstrance can be traced back to the Middle Ages. The purpose of this religious piece is to display the consecrated Host for congregations to adore and venerate.

As Eucharistic processions started to rise in popularity during the 13th century, the monstrance was constructed to house and display the Most Blessed Sacrament.
