St. Faustina Weekly Update

Today marks the end of Lent and the beginning of the Easter Triduum, starting with Holy Thursday which marks both the institution of the Eucharist as well as the institution of the priesthood. On this day, please continue to pray for all priests and the sacrifices they have made (and continue to make), especially for our parish priests: Fr. Dat, Fr. David Michael, and Msgr. Borski. Our Mass of the Lord's Supper will begin at 7pm this evening, and will immediately be followed with a period of Adoration. While we miss being together as a community every Sunday to celebrate the Mass, we have loved seeing the pictures of our families celebrating at home during this "stay at home" order. We want to encourage you all to share your photos of your Easter traditions and setup for Mass during this Holy Week, using the hashtag #FaustinaEaster. 5000 CHAPLET CHALLENGE

Fr. Dat gave our parish community a "5000 Chaplet Challenge" which began this past Monday and runs through Divine Mercy Sunday, April 19. We encourage your family to gather together and pray a Chaplet of Divine Mercy each day, and then go on our website to record your chaplets prayed. Currently, we have 909 chaplets that have been prayed by our parish!

Triduum: A Spiritual Pilgrimage

We may be unable to travel outside of our home, so we instead encourage you to enjoy this beautiful, 30 minute contemplative documentary. This film walks through the locations of the Holy Week story, re-presenting the most important days of human history. Immersed in the real and sacred places of the Holy Land, the pilgrim faithful is brought tangibly nearer to the story, the landscape, and the reality of the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Triduum draws Catholics and those with open hearts and minds to experience a deeper understanding of these events and places, and offers rich meditations for the pilgrimage of daily life. Now more than ever, as many of us are confined to our homes, journey along this spiritual pilgrimage and be drawn more deeply into the life and love of God. HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE

April 9 - Holy Thursday: The Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated at 7:00pm in the evening.

April 10 - Good Friday: We will have the Passion of the Lord and Veneration of the Cross at 3:00 pm in English and 7:00pm in Spanish. Fr. Dat has asked for you to have a crucifix or cross to venerate during this service. At 5:00 pm, you are invited to join us online for a special Stations of the Cross of St. Faustina of Divine Mercy. We will be posting the link to the prayers later, and they will be found on our website.

In addition, today we will begin the Divine Mercy Novena. Starting on Good Friday, we invite every family to join us daily in Praying the Novena, which then ends on Divine Mercy Sunday. Each day of the Novena calls us to invite a new group of souls to the Divine Mercy of Jesus. You can find the Novena in its entirety here.

April 11 – Holy Saturday: Our Easter Vigil will take place at 8:30pm on Saturday evening. As we join together for the Vigil, we invite our families to turn off all the lights in the home and to have candles ready for the celebration. We will light the Easter Candle at the parish and will then process with it into the church. It is at this time that we invite your family to light your own candles at home in solidarity with us. After the readings, and at the Gloria, we will invite you to turn on the lights in your home as we continue with the mass.

April 12 – Easter Sunday: We will be celebrating the Resurrection of Our Lord during our Easter Mass Celebration at 11:00am in English and 1:00pm in Spanish!
