Happy Friday! We had a busy week, and have a busy weekend ahead so please check the updates below. This weekend also marks the last weekend that Deacon Joseph White will be with us before he returns to Rome. Please make sure and thank him if you join us this weekend for Mass. Reflection on Sunday's Readings
“Who do you say that I am?” That question, asked by Jesus to Simon Peter in today’s Gospel, sets the stage for a key foundation of the Catholic Church. Once Simon states that Jesus is the Messiah, then Jesus blesses him, changes his name to Peter (which means rock), and says that he will build his church upon that rock. Food Fair - Saturday
Our monthly Food Fair takes place in the morning, with the distribution of food beginning at 8am. We are still in need of volunteers to help with this great effort, with volunteers being asked to arrive at 7am. If you are interested in helping at this great event, please use our Signup Genius to register. Otherwise, share the news that we will have food available to distribute to families in need tomorrow morning!
In addition, this Thursday, August 27, the outreach ministry is offering a drive thru food distribution. If you know of someone in need please let them know to come this Thursday at 8:00am.
FF Registration Update
Registration for the 2020-2021 Faith Formation year is open and can be accessed below. We have over 1000 youth already registered for the year ahead. If you need help or assistance with this process, please contact one of our faith formation coordinators.

August 19
This week, Fr. Dat and Fr. David Michael returned to share some encouragement to all of our families who had children returning to school. They also dedicated some time to say goodbye to Deacon Joseph, who will be leaving us to return to Rome after this weekend. Please share your prayers and good thoughts with him if you see him this weekend. We'll miss him!
